App to cut mobile bills to zero plus free worldwide VoIP voice calls, new video selfies, express chat, and more

Blab Telecom has launched its first Kickstarter campaign in order to raise funds for future developments of the Blab Telecom app. The Intelligent Communication campaign is looking to raise £10,000 in 30 days.

The Kickstarter campaign coincides with the latest release of Blab Telecom’s app that is due to go live shortly. The original app offered free real time text messaging. Now, users of the Blab Telecom app will be able to make free VoIP phone calls to each other, anywhere in the world, providing they have downloaded the app and have access to a Wi-Fi, 3G or 4G connection.

There are many other new features with the latest release, the main one being able to send one minute long video-selfies via the app. The videos can also be uploaded to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

Blab Telecom will enable anyone, from students to businesses, to dramatically cut their mobile phone bill costs.  Users will be able to stay in touch with friends and family around the world without paying for calls or roaming charges, so avoiding running up huge bills.

Blab Telecom’s app is free to download from the App Store and Googleplay, although some features require and activation  fee, including: VoIP voice calls £1.49 to activate per year; Express Chat service for texts, images or videos where the user can control how long the recipient can view the message before it is automatically deleted (up to a minute) for a one-off activation fee of £1.49; and virtual greeting cards to send to other Blab Telecom users for a one-off activation fee of £1.49.

Divinder Singh, owner of Blab Telecom, said: "My aim is to have practically free worldwide communication.  There is no need now for students to buy expensive top up cards to make their overseas calls.  There is no need for crazy roaming charges when you go overseas on holiday or on business.  Blab Telecom enables people to make as many calls as they like, for as long as they like.  Wi-Fi connections are accessible everywhere today, even on remote islands."

The app is compatible with iPhones, iPod Touch and Android smartphones.
