Acer Official Tech Provider to Surfing GB

To provide Team GB surfers with mobile technology starting at ISA World Junior Surfing Championship in Ecuador

Acer has today announced that is has become the Official Technology Provider to Surfing GB, the UK's national governing body for surfing.

The one year agreement will see Surfing GB utilise Acer technology at all of its UK events. The agreement extends to Team GB surfers who will use Acer laptops and tablets as part of their coaching programme, while also allowing team members to keep in touch with fans and family while away at championships via social media.

Surfing GB will use Acer laptops, tablets and smartphones to run its day to day operation and Acer technology will also be central to all of its events moving forward.

The first time the partnership will come into effect is at the ISA World Junior Surfing Championship, being held in Ecuador from 5 to 13 April. Acer will now also be the title sponsor for the British Interclub Surf Championship in September.

Being able to work with the Team GB surfers is an added bonus for us and we hope that the use of our tablets and laptops as part of its training and coaching programme will help them achieve even better results.'

Surfing GB will now be using Acer Aspire S7 ultrabooks, Iconia W5 and W3 tablets as well as Acer smartphones.
