App launch imminent from Be-Bound for low cost data mobile data

An app that enables users to connect to the internet for low cost, high quality data connectivity even on 2G is set to launch at the end of October.

Be-Bound, part of the Altheia Group, is an app based an innovative cloud technology using very low bandwidth that delivers the best user experience even with low connection. When there is no Wi-Fi, 4G, 3G or Edge network, Be-Bound uses the 2G network as transport layer to exchange information between the web and your smartphone, increasing dramatically the internet coverage.

The Be-Bound service uses a tiny fraction of an end user's data bandwidth. It works without any infrastructure investment and with any telecom carrier in the world. To access Be-Bound services, the user only needs to download the free Be-Bound app that includes built-in applications for email, weather report, news, stocks quotes, geolocated services and even Twitter.

Using Be-Bound is free when the user is connected to the internet. As it consumes very low data, Be-Bound will help users save money on data plans. When there is no data network available, the service works with SMS and prepaid credits (Be-Miles) at a fraction of standard roaming costs, the company claimed.  Stated Albert Szulman, CEO of Be-Bound: 'We started with a simple observation; everybody has faced connection issues, even in covered areas like the train, the subway, indoor or any other areas with low connectivity.'

The Be-Bound app will launch on 30 October.
