Babel launches TestMyApps service for indie developers
Babel, provider of mobile quality assurance and localisation services for the games and interactive market, has launched new service, TestMyApps.
Aimed at independent developers who may not have access to all the devices used by their potential customers, TestMyApps is a 24/7, self service customer portal, with testing performed using real testers on real handsets and checked against Babel's database. Tests can highlight thousands of common issues, ensuring great coverage at minimal cost.
Developers can submit their app for testing via the simple to use TestMyApps self service portal, offering a straightforward fixed-price menu and easy payment methods.

The tests available are specifically designed with the indie developer in mind: Essentials is designed to confirm that the app works on as many different devices as required, to show an app will not suffer from device diversity with the minimum of expense; Standard is a detailed functionality test, designed to comprehensively check all the critical features and functions of an app; Windows Pre-cert is a standard test to check all the relevant criteria, using Babel's Pre-cert test; Language enables translated apps to be checked; plus the Premium test service provides a customised test plan.
Babel has one of the largest handset and tablet inventories in the market and has recently added a number of Android, iOS, Windows 8 and Blackberry devices as well as building up its inhouse knowledge base on specific handset attributes.
