Blink brings in-memory analytics and data discovery to iOS users

Roambi, a mobile-first analytics and data visualisation company, today announced the launch of Blink, a free feature that enables executives, managers and sales reps to view, interact with, and share data anytime, anywhere.

Part of its flagship application, Roambi Analytics, Blink is a new visualisation tool that lets mobile users instantly transform and analyse cumbersome datasets locally on their iPhone or iPad, with no configuration or network connectivity.

Roambi Analytics users can now instantly open and visualize CSV datasets on their iOS phone or tablet from anywhere, including email, Box, iCloud Drive, Google Drive and more. Users can easily filter, pivot, explore and freely share their visualisations with any other Roambi user. The update combines a new visualisation designed for freestyle data exploration, with an in-memory analytics engine capable of on-device aggregations and calculations with zero latency response times.

“As iOS adoption continues to increase in the business world, the need for innovative products that empower the mobile workforce has exploded,” said Quinton Alsbury, Roambi co-founder and CEO. “In 2009, Roambi set the standard for how companies deliver critical data to their mobile users, and now we’re taking the next leap forward by bringing ‘freestyle analytics’ to every mobile business user. Rather than treating mobile devices as web browsers, Blink brings the power of desktop level, in-memory analytics to iPad and iPhone users with the ease and experience of playing Crossy Road.”

Roambi Analytics 8 also allows users to share their visualisations with other iOS users for free with a new Personal account. Roambi has also announced a new offering called Starter, priced at $10 per month, which enables Roambi users to create and share any Roambi visualisation securely, and manage company users.
