The acquisition strengthens Ericsson's systems integration capabilities for OSS in Southeast Asia and Oceania
Ericsson has announced the completion of its acquisition of the entire business of TeleOSS Consulting in Thailand through a business transfer agreement. Today's announcement of the closing of the deal on 2 September 2013 follows the initial announcement of Ericsson's intention to purchase TeleOSS on 12 July 2013.
'The acquired capabilities, especially in the areas of traffic and inventory management, together with Ericsson's extensive offering in the OSS area, complement our wide range of solutions. This enables us to offer high quality service delivery to our customers and further strengthen our customer relations in Southeast Asia and Oceania,' said Paolo Colella, head of consulting and systems integration at Ericsson.
The acquisition also complements Ericsson's operations support systems (OSS) product portfolio.
Approximately 50 skilled consulting and systems integration professionals will be welcomed and integrated into Ericsson in Thailand over the coming months, and will work under the Ericsson brand.
Ericsson's Consulting and Systems Integration (CSI) business line assists communications service providers and operators in driving business transformation and ensuring competitiveness at the intersection where IT meets networks.
