Smartphone bridges gap between high design and high price smartphones, and generic smartphones at low prices

Obi Worldphone, a new global smartphone company, has announced its entry into the UK market with the launch of its signature MV1 4G smartphone, which is now available to order from Amazon for just £99.

The Obi Worldphone MV1 launched earlier this year in emerging markets across Asia and Latin America and entered the UK on 15 August.

Born in Silicon Valley and co-founded by renowned tech pioneer and ex-CEO of Apple, John Sculley, Obi Worldphone bridges the gap between high design smartphones at high prices and generic smartphones at low prices.

Offering a smartphone experience that is rich, personal and elevated, the MV1 represents a premium-designed smartphone for good value.

Fronted by Ammunition, the design house behind ‘Beats by Dre’ headphones, and designed in the US, the Obi Worldphone brings its custom user interface,  Lifespeed, for a balance of colourful excitement and having all apps handy.

Featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor, the MV1 runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1.1, offering new avenues of personalisation and enhanced security including PIN scramble, Privacy Guard and Protected Apps.

Offering dual micro-SIM card slots, the MV1 is unlocked and can be used without any restriction across networks for added ease and freedom. The MV1 comes with a MicroSD card slot to expand the phone’s 16GB of internal storage up to 64GB of additional memory.

Offering varied camera options and advanced sound technology, the MV1 offers plenty of ways to capture important moments including front (2MP) and back (8MP) cameras. Additional features like panorama, face detection and continuous scene give the ability to do so much more than just take another photo whilst DTS Sound fine tunes audio cues for an immersive headphone experience.
