Hotel reservations available in the UK on iOS, Android and BlackBerry Touch devices
Telmap, mobile location-based services provider, has announced today a new partnership with HRS, a European hotel portal, where users of Telmap's M8 app in the UK can access location-relevant information in HRS's directory of hotels.
Launched in October last year, 'M8 – Your Local Mate' is a free app that combines next generation navigation technology, traffic updates, speed camera warnings, local content and social media, and adds to Telmap with 3D maps and POIs, shortcuts for easy commuting, and vector-rendered graphics.
Now, the collaboration between M8 and HRS means the app is also able to help users make hotel reservations, with integrated hotel booking.
Operating a global electronic hotel reservation system, HRS's database of more than 250,000 hotels worldwide enables M8 users in the UK to search for hotels near them or in areas they will be travelling to, and make informed decisions by reviewing hotel-specific information within M8, make reservations free of charge, with immediate confirmation and special HRS prices.

M8 is available in the UK and Spain on Android and iOS devices.
