Ofcom accused of overcharging on licence fees for mobile spectrum

Mobile operators in the UK are unhappy with proposals from regulator, Ofcom, on annual licence fee increases for the 900 megahertz (MHz) and 1800 MHz spectrum bands.

Ofcom has published a further consultation on revising annual licence fees for the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands used by mobile network operators. This follows proposals made in October 2013, in which fees were substantially higher and rejected by mobile operators.
