IMImobile powers National Rail Enquiries iPad app putting users on the Fast Track
IMImobile, a mobile data infrastructure and solutions provider, has launched its first purpose-built iPad application in partnership with UK National Rail Enquiries (NRE).
The app is built to satisfy all the needs of a user on the move, from real time travel updates, journey planning, to the ability to save favourite journeys and purchase tickets for all UK train operators from anywhere.
IMImobile's NRE iPad application delivers a streamlined customer experience with a customisable home screen and intuitively designed user interface, the company claimed.
The application delivers the same capabilities as NRE's iPhone counterpart. However, the iPad app also provides real time Twitter updates and alert notifications for any delayed or cancelled trains from all UK train operators. These new features ensure the user is always kept updated.
Alex Klose, head of marketing at IMImobile, commented: 'We have seen a strong growth in Apple's iPad sales, providing device specific ways to access information is increasingly essential for any brand. In developing a dedicated iPad app for NRE, we incorporated a unique set of features in order to meet NRE's mission of serving customers' needs.'
'We are delighted with the appearance and functionality of the app and look forward to providing an additional resource for our users, making their journey less stressful and more enjoyable,' said Chris Scoggins, chief executive of NRE.
