Momac delivers cool new Wi-Fi finder app for O2 Wi-Fi
Momac, a provider of mobile interface solutions for operators, has teamed with O2 in the UK to release a Wi-Fi finder app that enables users to quickly and conveniently find O2 Wi-Fi hotspots.
Even without internet connection, the application will display a map of hotspots based on searches by current location, postal code and town search. 'Developed for both Android and iPhone with Momac's advanced mobile platform, the O2 Wi-Fi app features geolocation mapping, various search functions, online and offline O2 Wi-Fi registration, offline caching, and more,' said Sham Careem, Momac CEO. Gavin Franks, managing director at O2 Wi-Fi, said: 'We are thrilled with the new app which now enables more mobile users to access our free, reliable Wi-Fi whether they are O2 customers or not. Working with Momac has resulted in an app that we are proud to provide to users, and we are pleased that it provides them with the ability to sign up wherever they are, and locate our thousands of hotspots all over the UK.' Search results are displayed on a map or in a list, and include detailed information on each hotspot (name, address, distance from user and directions). Users can interact with the map to adjust the proximity of the search tool to include a larger or smaller radius, and check in at hotspots via deep integration with Facebook, Twitter and OS Messaging.
