Enterprise class software gives horseracing channel a single view of customers across all devices with launch of Racing UK Anywhere
PayWizard, a subscriber management and billing specialist for multi-screen media, has teamed up with Racing UK to launch Racing UK Anywhere, a service that allows consumers to watch top class horseracing on the move and on multiple devices.
PayWizard worked closely with Racing UK on the launch of Racing UK Anywhere, upgrading the horseracing channel's Subscriber Management System (SMS) with its enterprise class software. PayWizard now provides Racing UK with a single view of its customers across connected devices, maximising operational efficiency and enabling a consistent user experience on all screens.
Racing UK Anywhere enables customers, in the UK and Ireland, to enjoy racing from 33 of the UK's top tracks on three or more platforms and devices including Sky TV, Freeview, desktop, iPhone, iPad, Android and mobile web. The horseracing channel, which will broadcast 733 fixtures in 2014, is also using the PayWizard Payment Eco-System for flexible payment options, and its customer support services.
Over the last four years, Racing UK has developed independent services for web, mobile, and connected devices. By upgrading its SMS with PayWizard, Racing UK can manage the specific platforms on which viewers will be entitled to consume content, futureproofing the company as new devices come to market.
Clive Cottrell, marketing director at Racing UK, said: 'In response to consumer demand and trends for access to content across a number of different platforms, we have launched on multiple platforms and screens. But we found that having different systems for multiple devices and multiple relationships meant that gathering payments became problematic, and we therefore required a 'one account' approach.
'Upgrading with PayWizard was seamless and provides exactly what we need to enable a smooth and consistent consumer experience across all screens,' he added.
PayWizard's enterprise class software combines intelligent subscriber management technology with rich marketing functionalities and a powerful finance system, enabling customers to maximise consumer relationships and drive revenues and profitability.
Said Jamie Mackinlay, commercial director, PayWizard: 'TV payment models are no longer confined to a subscription service in the living room at home; consumers want content on the move and on any device, and broadcasters and media organisations are responding. It's not simply a case of putting content on different devices, however. There needs to be efficient payment processing, intelligent subscriber management technology and customer service operations in place.
'The momentum we're seeing with new customers selecting our enterprise class software is evidence of the power and flexibility of the solution in enabling them to make money from the content they produce, and to enable viewers to pay for the TV that they want to watch – regardless of how, when, where or on what device they choose to watch it – at the push of a button,' Mackinlay concluded.
